Gales are continuing across southern components of the Uk, with coastal regions dealing with west bearing the brunt of the strongest winds and heavy rain. Forecasters mentioned gusts attained 80mph together the coasts of Cornwall, the Bristol Channel and west Wales. The Setting Agency has warned of a "substantial risk" of more flooding through Devon and Cornwall.
