Claire is introduced as a warrior while on the hunt for her main enemy, Yoma. It involves a lot more improvisation but it makes them feel like their characters are relevant to what's going on, rather than assuming the same outcome would have happened without them. Raki's placement in the story makes it seem that there's still some humanity inside this half demon spawned child.
