Gales are continuing across southern parts of the United kingdom, with coastal regions going through west bearing the brunt of the strongest winds and large rain. Forecasters explained gusts achieved 80mph alongside the coasts of Cornwall, the Bristol Channel and west Wales. The Environment Company has warned of a "significant risk" of further flooding throughout Devon and Cornwall.
