Gales are continuing across southern areas of the Uk, with coastal areas experiencing west bearing the brunt of the strongest winds and weighty rain. Forecasters mentioned gusts reached 80mph along the coasts of Cornwall, the Bristol Channel and west Wales. The Setting Agency has warned of a "considerable risk" of even more flooding all through Devon and Cornwall.
