Typically the drone takes off, hanging several feet off the ground. I guide that up to about 13 feet with the throttle within the remote control. Then my three year old son takes over. He taps the screen with an iPad running our piloting app. The drone, a DJI Phantom 4, will begin to ascend, heading in the direction of an abandoned grainery. My son happily taps apart at the screen, moving the drone here plus there.
