Mars is really a showman. Not merely could he write a bloody catchy pop song - and sing it amazingly - but he puts on the scene. His Motown-formed group are more than back-up performers in the shadows; while Mars is obviously the legend, the camaraderie, playfulness and some amazing synchronised dancing programs involving everybody onstage makes a great sense of enjoyment not often found in a show this slick.
